Parking in Old Leigh is very restricted (clamping operates in some areas) and visitors are advised to use the station car park which has plenty of room. Please try to avoid driving up and down the High Street of Old Leigh as there is a serious conflict between pedestrians and cars, particularly in the summer months.

The Heritage Centre is open most days, especially weekends, but is entirely run by volunteers so it is best to phone first to check opening times – 01702 470834.

Entry to the Museum and Plumbs Cottage is free, but all donations are welcome.

If you would like to volunteer to help in the Heritage Centre please contact The Heritage Centre – you will need to be a member of the Society and make yourself aware of Leigh and its history as displayed in the Heritage Centre.

We also entertain many school parties throughout the year and these range from infants to Secondary level. All are given a slide show about Leigh and members of the Society give talks and explain items in the Heritage Centre. If you would like to organise a school visit please contact The Heritsge Centre
